Sharing the Gospel with Families of Young Children
All children have a special place in the heart of God. Jesus pointed this out when he said, "Let the children come to me."
Families with children can give us a unique perspective on the Gospel, if we take the time to listen to their stories, and share God's story with them. This has been my privilege and my joy at Saint Charles for the past 25 years working with parents and children who are preparing for the sacraments of First Penance and First Holy Communion.
This blog will be about that 25 year journey with Jesus, and more than 2000 children and their parents. I hope to share some of the things I have learned on the way that I hope will encourage us all to find and nurture the gift of faith in one another. God is counting on all of us to do just that, even the children, especially the children. After all, every one of us started out life on this earth as somebody's child, and we are all still children in our Heavenly Father's eyes.
So come along and share the Gospel of Life by walking with Jesus through the year.
